About Sara Liz Photography
Capturing Moments that Share Humanitarian Stories

Hi, I’m Sara. Let me tell you a little bit about myself…
- I fell in love with photography, particularly photojournalism, in high school and I’ve been doing it for over 20 years.
- I have a Master of Social Work. I’ve worked with a variety of populations, through a variety of organizations, on a variety of issues. One common thread I've found between social work and photography is this- we all have some point of connection, if only for our shared humanity. If we can recognize that connection, the jumps to compassion, empathy, empowerment, respect, and love are much easier to make.
- I am a mom to three boys and proudly married to a firefighter. We also have a cat with a bad attitude and a “flakey” dog. You might not think it’s possible to have a flakey dog, but it is.
- I love books, podcasts, Diet Coke, decorative throw pillows that have no purpose, learning weird and random things, and embarrassing my kids by trying out the “latest” slang in front of their peers.
